At Women's Employment Network, we help women ready to make a change in their professional lives earn a brighter future for themselves and their families. This project will provide 80 women with personalized Financial Coaching, One-on-one Resume Reviews, Mock Interviews, & Career Workshops so they can reach financial independence through sustained employment.
Chronic and persistent poverty is common for many of the women WEN serves. On average, clients of WEN entered the program with an average net income of $47.26 per month. The majority of women served at WEN come to the organization having been out of work for a period of time or have been recently laid off from a job; our clients are generally unemployed at the time we have contact with them.
WEN's staff works individually with women to identify barriers to employment and to provide the services needed to eliminate or overcome those barriers, thus empowering women to achieve economic self-sufficiency in today's workplace environment.
WEN's program serves over 750 women per year, empowering them to find sustainable employment with wages and benefits enough to provide for themselves and their families, stopping the cycle of poverty and giving hope for the future.
